The gospel commission (Matthew 28:19) is one of the core pillars of Seventh-day Adventist education. This is evident in the passion and dedication of each of our classrooms and teachers.
Fresno Adventist Academy takes this one step further with our Campus Ministries program. Campus ministries takes the potential of our students and engages them with our neighbors to share the love of Jesus with our community. Our Campus Ministries programs include our Middle and High School chapel program, Student-led Revival Series, Senior Religion class acting as chaplains for the lower grades, an award winning community outreach program that has FAA students engaging our community on a weekly basis, and Project Impact - a special week of outreach for 7th grade.
We believe that FAA is a family that God has hand-picked to reach our community in the name and love of Christ, and our Campus Ministries program has the honor of being one of the many ways that our school achieves this.
H.A.N.D.S. is a student-led outreach club originally created by Tina Morales and Anthony Moreno (class of 2013), in 2011. Our current President is Aileen Kurts and membership is at an all-time high with 15 students involved. This club started out the school year by distributing homemade cookies and welcome balloons to all the new students, including incoming freshmen. They also made up personalized welcome baskets and balloons for the new teachers. Other outreaches include all-school coat and canned food drives, Angel Tree Christmas gifts for children whose parents are incarcerated, writing to American military personnel, and organizing items for an estate sale (proceeds of which go to benefit FAA).
