This course is a study of political, religious, and social world history and development with emphasis on “Western” civilization and geography. Students will learn how and why historical events happened, rather than memorization of names and dates. The use of videos, simulations, games, and other activities help bring history alive for students.
This course is a study of the history and geography of the United States from the colonial period to the present. Special emphasis is placed on learning how and why historical events happened rather than memorization of names and dates. The use of videos, simulations, games, and other activities help bring history alive for students.
This course is designed to study the government of the United States. Emphasis is placed on the origin and development of the U.S. Constitution, and how the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of our government work. The course also includes a comparison of the U.S. government with the governments of other countries.
This course is a study of the history, theory, and application of macro and micro economics. Emphasis is placed on the comparison and contrast of U.S. capitalism with other economic systems throughout the world. Quarterly projects encourage students to dig deep in their understanding and application of economic issues.
