Religion 3 Project 1 Guidelines

Students will work in pairs to create a project surrounding a non-Christian religious group. It may or may not be in the form of a paper. Students are encouraged to be creative. However, regardless of the project format, each project must be accompanied by a 4-7 typewritten pages that thoroughly explain the project. Included within the paper, students should answer the following questions:

What did you think or know about this religion before doing this project?
What are the main beliefs of this religion?
Do they have a religious leader and what is their role in the religion?
Do they have sacred writings/scriptures and what do they do with them?
What form of worship do they engage in?
What is their view of God?
What is their view of creation?
What is their view on the nature of humanity?
What is their view of salvation?
Do they have any beliefs that are similar to Christianity? If yes, which ones and explain.
How do their beliefs, worship, and attitude about God compare to Christianity in general?
How do their beliefs, worship, and attitude about God compare to Adventism specifically?
What is your reaction to what you have learned about this religion?
If you met someone of this faith, how would you explain Adventist beliefs to them?
